BRIEF: PennLive series finds chronic understaffing across Pa. nursing homes

Oct. 26--We know Pennsylvania's nursing homes are understaffed, but just how bad are they?

From today to Friday, PennLive explores that question in the final chapters of its Failing the Frail series, an investigative project focused on problems in Pennsylvania nursing homes. It also takes a broad look at the understaffing problems nationwide.

The final stories and accompanying database and slideshows wrap up a project that has involved several PennLive reporters and months of interviews and combing through data.
