ARDEN COURTS RECEIVES ADVANCED STANDING DESIGNATION

Wayne Today - 5/11/2017

Arden Courts Memory Care Community in Wayne announces that they received the advanced standing designation from the New Jersey Department of Health (DOH) for a second consecutive year. The DOH has collaborated with the Health Care Association of New Jersey Foundation (HCANJF) on a pilot program for assisted living and comprehensive personal care facilities known as advanced standing.

Facilities receive the designation of advanced standing when the HCANJF verifies that the facility has satisfied all state, federal and local licensing regulations and met quality benchmarks including monitoring of data for the patient safety organization, family/resident satisfaction measures, advanced care planning with residents as chosen by the Peer Review Panel of the HCANJF.

Each facility also participates in the National Center for Assisted Living'sQuality Performance Measures Survey.

The advanced standing designation program is voluntary. Arden Courts of Wayne chose to participate based on their strong record of taking care of patients with Alzheimer's Disease and related dementias. Arden Courts Memory Care Community has more than 20 years of experience dedicated solely to dementia care and prides themselves on being leaders and experts in the dementia industry. That expertise translates into specialized care demonstrated in the design of the building and through the daily programming and activities developed for the various types and stages of dementia.

"I'm proud of our memory care team. Three of our centers in New Jersey have received this designation: Wayne, West Orange and Whippany. We work hard to enrich the lives of all our residents and provide support to their families, and we're glad to hear that the Department of Health's surveys confirm this," said Jennifer Drescher, regional director of operations.
