BRIEF: Hoops for Hope at Henning High School April 8

March 27--Kids of Valor will be hosting Hoops for Hope fundraiser April 8 at Henning High School.

The event will kickoff with a 3-on-3 youth basketball tournament at 8 a.m. For more information, visit todayweplay.org.

As the event moves into the evneing, Special Olympics Minnesota basketball game will take place at 6 p.m. Just for Kix will be performing at halftime.

At 6:45 p.m., a 3-point contest will be held.

The highlight of the evening will be the Henning alumni versus Area All-Stars at 7:30 p.m.

Area athletes participating in the event include Fergus Falls' Ryan and Jason Retzlaff, Battle Lake's Petric VanErp and Tyler Ukkelberg and Pelican Rapids' Reed Roisum

The National Anthem will be performed by Christopher Duffley and a halftime show by the Alexandria Aces will also accompany the game.

Henning Pep Band, alumni cheerleaders, kids shooting contest and lots of entertainment during timeouts. One lucky fan will have a chance to win $10,000.

After the game, there will be a social for those attending.

Proceeds will go to benefit local children who are facing a life-threatening medical situation.
