?Swim Team' wades into Sonoma

The Sonoma Index-Tribune - 9/26/2017

Sweetwater Spectrum is partnering with the Sonoma International Film Festival (SIFF) to screen an award-winning, feature length documentary for the local community. "Swim Team" profiles a team of autistic and special needs swimmers in New Jersey. The film chronicles the overwhelming struggles and extraordinary triumphs of three young athletes with autism and shows how a swim team can bring hope to a community.

The film will be shown at dusk, projected on an inflatable, 25 foot screen on the lawn outside of the Sweetwater pool.

Prior to the 8 p.m. screening, guests are invited to tour the Sweetwater campus, try out a gazpacho made from the farm's tomatoes and cucumbers, and enjoy wine and popcorn.

"This is a great example of two area nonprofits cooperating and collaborating," said Sweetwater Spectrum executive director Kory Stradinger.

Tickets for the film are available at http://bit.ly/2gQMUHn for $20.

The event is limited to 100 attendees. Bring blankets and low backed chairs for lawn seating.

Sweetwater Spectrum is located at 369 Fifth St. W. The film's trailer can be viewed at swimteamthefilm.com/
