Raising awareness

The Journal - 4/9/2018

Despite chilly temperatures, more than 100 walkers from both sides of the border made their way down Third Street Saturday supporting blue signs, blue clothing and even blue facial hair for autism awareness.

The third annual awareness walk, organized by the I'Falls Autism Support Group, aims to shed light on autism for the entire community.

Group member Scott Brade told The Journal the organization not only provides support to the parents and guardians of children who are affected by autism, but they also provide many engaging social and educational opportunities for the children to grow.

After the walk, the group spent time at the Bob Walls Memorial Union Hall for live music, games, and a carnival-like atmosphere.
