Man faces molestation charge after three-month probe by Columbus police

Nov. 28--A Columbus man faces a molestation charge after his arrest Tuesday on outstanding warrants, police said.

Roy Lee Hill, 50, was taken into custody at his 3403 Gentian Blvd. apartment. Hill also was charged with one count of enticing a child for indecent purposes and held in the Muscogee County Jail for a 2 p.m. Thursday hearing in Recorder's Court.

The charges stem from an incident reported to police at a 20th Avenue apartment. The assault is alleged to have occurred sometime between 1 p.m.May 22 and 1 p.m.Aug. 22.

The case was investigated by the Special Victims Unit which includes sex crimes at the Columbus Police Department.
