Erie Co. grand jury indicts 20+ suspects

Dec. 14--SANDUSKY -- An Erie County grand jury indicted more than 20 people this month, including a Sandusky man who is accused of trying to rape a woman and making death threats.

Douglas Clark, 34, was indicted on one count each of attempted rape, aggravated burglary and aggravated menacing.

On Oct. 22, Clark reortedly entered a woman's home through an unlocked door and made threats before he allegedly tried to sexually assault her.

Police arrested Clark shortly afterward. He remains in the Erie County Jail on a $95,000 bond.

In another case, a Norwalk man, Kenneth Ansel II, 24, of the 100 block Whitetail Way, was indicted on four counts of operating a vehicle under the in›uence (OVI) and one charge of aggravated possession of drugs.

Here are the other defendants' names and charges:

--Amie M. Martinez, on three counts of illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto grounds of a specified governmental facility, and illegal conveyance of weapons onto the grounds of a specified governmental facility

--William J. Peabody, on three counts of illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto grounds of a specified governmental facility, and illegal conveyance of weapons onto the grounds of a specified governmental facility

--Angela M. Lagray, on four counts of aggravated possession of drugs with specification for forfeiture of money in a drug case

--Matthew D. McCann, on aggravated possession of drugs with specification for the forfeiture of money in a drug case and having weapons while under disability

--Damar'Yon B. Poindexter, on grand theft and misuse of credit cards

--Edward P. Weaver, on possession of cocaine and tampering with evidence

--Marvin L. Roberts, on two counts each of aggravated burglary and felonious assault

--Michelle A. Price, on domestic violence and possession of cocaine

--Daniel C. Hughes, on aggravated possession of drugs

--Darryl Wiggins, on aggravated possession of drugs with a specification for the forfeiture of money in a drug case

--Douglas Clark, aggravated burglary, attempted rape, and aggravated menacing

--Eugene C. Smith, Jr., on domestic violence

--Renee S. Ward, on three counts of non-support of dependents

--Tatyana J. Kincade, on burglary

--Mariah Kincade, on burglary

Vivica S. Johnson, burglary

--Davanai Charleton, burglary

--Sylvester A. Harris, on one count each of improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle and carrying a concealed weapon, both with specification for forfeiture of a weapon

--Bryant A. Gowdy, on two counts each of OVI aggravated possession of drugs plus one charge each of possession of drugs, trafficking in cocaine, possession of cocaine, possession of heroin and assault

Seven other suspects were indicted in secret; a grand jury typically issues a secret indictment when authorities fear the person may ›ee the area.
