March 02-- Mar. 2--A Tahlequah man charged with three counts of child sexual abuse received a 40-year sentence in Cherokee County District Court after pleading guilty on Feb. 28.

During his initial appearance on Sept. 25, Elifelel Tecumseh Horn Quick, 24, first pleaded not guilty to the three counts of child sexual abuse involving two young girls.

Quick was first arrested by Cherokee County Sheriff's Office deputies on Sept. 13 after he allegedly admitted to sexually assaulting one of the girls over a two-year span, starting when one child was 10.

According to court documents,

between Sept. 29, 2017, and Sept. 13, 2018, he allegedly forced one child to have intercourse with him on multiple occasions when she was 11, and then, when she was 12, he tied her naked to a bed and rubbed her body and private parts in a sexual manner.

The defendant was also accused of touching the 10-year-old many times on her body and private parts.

District Judge Douglas Kirkley ordered the sentence, where the three counts will run concurrently. Quick was represented by court-appointed attorney Rachel Dallis and Eric M. Jordan prosecuted the case.
