Woman indicted for burglaries

Jun. 20--A Larue woman, who was arrested twice in three days in January for burglaries, is among those indicted by the Henderson County Grand Jury last week.

Dayna Jo Edwards 35, was first arrested on Friday, January 11, after a resident confronted her in the 2200 block of Crystal Drive near Lake Athens. HCSO reports said Edwards, 33, left the scene before officers arrived, but Deputy Meagan Hogan and her K-9, Max, tracked her down within minutes.

Sheriff Botie Hillhouse said the deputy found a beanie the woman was wearing when she ran and a few minutes later, found find her hiding in a culvert on Farm-to-Market-Road. 2495, along with some items from the burglarized residence.

Investigators working the case, went to Edward's residence on Monday, January 14 and found items that had been reported stolen from another Athens dwelling. They also found methamphetamine and scales. Edwards was arrested again on multiple charges. She was released on bond, totaling, $10,000 on the 24th.

District Attorney Mark Hall reports that the Henderson County Grand Jury for the January 2019 term returned the following indictments on Friday. In addition, 13 cases are indicted under seal.
