Jacksonville man guilty of possessing abusive child pornography
Florida Times-Union - 10/31/2019
A 38-year-old Jacksonville man was found guilty Thursday of possessing videos and images showing the sexual abuse of children, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
Jason Ryan Fain now faces a maximum of 20 years in federal prison, followed by a potential life term of supervised release, prosecutors said. A sentencing date has not been set.
The Sheriff's Office responded to Fain's house on Jan. 9 after a citizen complaint, finding a thumb drive that contained 3,614 images and seven videos of child pornography, according to court documents. The device also contained selfies of Fain.
Fain was tracked down in late October 2018 in Bay County, and confirmed the thumb drive was his, the U.S. Attorney's Office said. He also said it contained "hundreds" of pornographic images of children that he had obtained from the internet. The device also contained a document that advocated the legalization of child pornography possession.
