BRIEF: Evansville man arrested on child molestation charges

Feb. 25--An Evansville man faces multiple felony charges after an investigation revealed he allegedly molested a 15-year-old.

Cory J. Gibbs, 32, is lodged in Vanderburgh County jail on preliminary charges of child molesting and five counts of sexual misconduct with a minor.

Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office detectives started an investigation at Holly's House after a forensic interview was conducted with the victim. They told police that on multiple occasions Gibbs had provided them with alcohol and sexually abused them at Gibbs' North Side residence.

Detectives said Gibbs admitted to the alleged incidents during an interview at the sheriff's office command post.
