BRIEF: Ferriday man charged with molestation of juvenile

March 13--FERRIDAY -- A Ferriday man was arrested Saturday for allegedly molesting a 9-year-old girl.

Robbi W. Ford, 52, 266 Rabb Addition, was charged by the Concordia Parish Sheriff's Office for molestation of a juvenile.

While a group of children were playing hide-and-seek at his residence, Ford allegedly participated in the game to catch the victim, who is a relative of Ford's, Concordia Parish Sheriff's Office Juvenile Investigator Lee Ford said.

When Robbi Ford would catch the victim on multiple occasions, he allegedly held the victim and touched her in several inappropriate areas, including reportedly putting his hand under her shirt, Lee Ford said.

Lee Ford said the victim allegedly had to fight Robbi Ford off and ultimately told another adult, who took the victim to Riverland Medical Center, which is when the sheriff's office was called.

"This poor child was terrified," Lee Ford said.

Robbi Ford was in jail Sunday afternoon with no bond set.
