Man Charged With Rape, Kidnapping

A Greene County man was charged Friday afternoon by sheriff's deputies with four felony offenses, including especially aggravated kidnapping, two counts of aggravated rape and a count of aggravated domestic assault.

Brandon Lee Parton, 27, of Parman Road, was charged after sheriff's deputies were called at 3:12 p.m. Friday to a house to check on the well-being of a reported domestic assault victim, who was found to have "serious bodily injuries," Detective Sgt. C. Michelle Holt said in a news release.

Greene County-Greeneville EMS took the alleged victim to Laughlin Memorial Hospital's emergency department for treatment.

Parton is held without bond in the Greene County Detention Center pending a first scheduled appearance Monday in General Sessions Court.
