APRIL PROCLAIMED CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION MONTH

At its regular meeting Monday, the Habersham County Board of Education issued a proclamation declaring the month of April Child Abuse Prevention Month in Habersham County. Present for the proclamation, read aloud by Habersham County School Superintendent Matthew Cooper, were Prevent Child Abuse Habersham Executive Director Jennifer Stein and PCAH Board of Directors members Sherri Burruss, President Myra Chandler, Denise Duff and Secretary Stacy Harris. In Habersham County, PCAH is a citizen-based organization dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect in all forms before it occurs. "We just very much appreciate the partnership that we have with the school system as a whole," Stein said, who went into brief detail about PCAH's many programs and services offered to the community, a list of which is available online at preventchildabusehabersham.org.
