Police: Dad charged forsex abuse

Dominion Post - 5/4/2017

May 04--A Pentress man forced himself upon two of his children and touched another, police allege in a new arrest report.

The West Virginia State Police charged Hank Thomas Reynolds, 45, with four counts of sexual abuse by a parent, guardian or person of trust. He was arraigned in Monongalia County Magistrate Court on Wednesday, where bail was set at $100,000.

He faces punishment of 10 to 20 years in prison on each count -- if convicted.

According to his criminal complaint: One accuser told investigators that when she was in middle school, around 2008, her father, Reynolds, had sex with her. She said she was 12 or 13 years old when sexual contact started and it continued through her adolescent years.

Another accuser told investigators the abuse happened to her between her freshman and junior years of high school. She remembered one specific incident that occurred in 2007.

One time, the accuser reported, Reynolds put his hand over her mouth. While on the floor, he took his pants off and had sex with her.

The accuser said it was not an isolated incident.

There is no statute of limitations on felony charges in West Virginia.

This year, a 15-year-old told investigators that Reynolds touched her breast and genital area. She said one time, they were in the kitchen and he began hugging her and would not let her go.

That accuser said he inappropriately touched her five to 15 times over two years.
