Woman, allegedly part of ring of child predators, charged with sexually assaulting boy in Monroe

Morning Call - 5/14/2017

May 15--A Cumberland County woman has been charged with sexually assaulting a 14-year-old boy, whom investigators say also was the victim of sexual abuse at "furry parties" where adults dress as animals.

Paige Wren Tasker, 27, was charged with statutory sexual assault, corruption of minors, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and indecent assault, according to a news release Sunday from state Attorney General Josh Shapiro.

Tasker is the sixth person arrested in the investigation of a ring of child predators, some of whom dressed as animals at "furry parties," according to the news release.

Officials said Tasker, of Mechanicsburg, had a brief relationship with David Parker, who previously was charged in the investigation with child rape and possession of child pornography. In 2015, Tasker visited Parker in Saylorsburg, Monroe County. During the visit, she slept in the boy's bed and sexually assaulted him, according to the news release.

Investigators said the boy had been sexually abused years earlier at "furry parties" in Bucks County.

"The hard work of the agents and attorneys in our Child Predator Section, working closely with other law enforcement partners, led to this latest arrest," Shapiro said in the news release. "This is a deeply disturbing case, and we care about this victim and every victim of sexual abuse."

Tasker's bail was set at $250,000. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 22.

Following a preliminary hearing last week, Kenneth C. Fenske, of Quakertown, was held for trial for allegedly dressing as a red fox and sexually abusing a boy in 2009 at "furry parties."

In addition to Fenske, Parker and Tasker, three other defendants have been charged with sex offenses in connection with the investigation.
