• A Maryville officer on patrol observed a disturbance on Montvale Road at 2:29 p.m.May 10. A Maryville man, 34, had his arms around a Maryville woman, 31, on the porch of a home, shaking her and assaulting her. He threw her to the ground and stood over her, trying to grab her as she struggled to get away. The officer approached, told the man to get on the ground and surrender, which he did. He was taken into custody on a charge of domestic assault.
