Arraignment set for Ames man accused of sexually abusing pre-teen girl

Ames Tribune - 5/23/2017

May 23--An Ames man who allegedly sexually abused a 12-year-old girl on multiple occasions in early 2016, will be arraigned June 5.

William Donald Glazebrook, 30, was arrested earlier this month and charged with assault with intent to commit sexual abuse, and indecent contact with a child.

According to court documents, the victim reported that on one occasion, Glazebrook touched her inappropriately and kissed her on the lips. On another occasion, documents show that the victim was sleeping and Glazebrook picked her up off the floor, put her in his bed, and began hugging her and touching her inappropriately.

The victim reportedly awoke while Glazebrook was touching her, and was able to get out of the bed to stop the assault.

Documents show that Glazebrook knew the victim and the incidents allegedly took place within the victim's home.

During an interview with Glazebrook, documents indicate he admitted to investigators he had kissed the victim, but denied it was for sexual arousal. However, court documents show he admitted to having sexual thoughts about females the victim's age, but that he said he could control the thoughts.

Glazebrook was originally being held without bond at Story County Jail, but as of Monday afternoon, he is no longer listed on the jail roster.

Assault with intent to commit sexual abuse, and indecent contact with a child are both aggravated misdemeanors.

If convicted, Glazebrook could face up to four years in prison.
