Race Against Child Abuse set for June 10

INWOOD, W.Va. - The Children's Home Society of West Virginia is presenting its first Race Against Child Abuse on Saturday, June 10, at Musselman High School, 1236 Excellence Way in Inwood.

At 9 a.m., 5K and 10K races will begin. They will be followed by a 1K fun run. Walkers and strollers are welcome to participate after the runners start their races.

The cost to participate in the 5K is $20 prior to Thursday, June 1; $25 from June 1 to Friday, June 9; and $30 on race day. For the 10K, the fee is $25 prior to June 1; $30 from June 1 to 9; and $35 on race day. The fun run is free to those ages 9 and younger.

All proceeds benefit Safe Haven Child Advocacy Center.

Those who register before June 1 will be guaranteed a T-shirt for the 5K and 10K races. Register online at raceagainstchildabuse.itsyourrace.com or on race day.

Packet pickup will be available from 4 to 6 p.m.June 9 at 653 Winchester Ave. in Martinsburg, W.Va., and on race day at Musselman High.
