Brother indicted in sexual assault of Trenton children

Herald Democrat - 6/25/2017

June 24--BONHAM -- The story of the struggle of a family of children in Trenton continues to unfold in the Fannin County courts. Nelson Jimmy Rodriguez Jr. was indicted this week on a count of aggravated sexual assault of a child. The indictment is a formal charge and not an indication of guilt. The charge is not the first one Rodriquez, 20, has faced. He was indicted on the same charge back in March 2016.

The children that have accused Rodriguez of abusing them are his own siblings. The actions alleged to have been going on inside the family's Trenton home came to light back in September 2015 when Jhoel Noria, Rodriguez's 12-year-old brother, was struck by an SUV and killed while waiting for a school bus near their home. In December of that year, police arrested the children's mother, Noemi Isobel Nori,a on injury of a child charges for failing to supervise Jhoel. Then the other children in the household began to make outcries of abuse. Police also arrested Pedro Noria, 28, father to some of the children in the house, and Rodriquez.

Public records show that Noemi Noria now faces one count of continuous sexual assault of a child under 14, one count of injury to a child and one count of indecency with a child sexual contact. Pedro Noria, faces one count of aggravated sexual assault of a child and one count of continuous sexual assault of a child under 14.

In addition to the charge for which he was indicted this week, Rodriquez faces an additional count of aggravated assault of a child. Rodriquez' attorney, Scott Smith, could not be reached for comment.
