Advocacy center sets volunteer orientation

The Martin House Children's Advocacy Center has set a volunteer orientation at noon today at the facility, 606 W. Garfield Drive, Suite D.

The center is a nonprofit agency dedicated to helping children younger than 18 who are victims of physical and sexual abuse or who have witnessed a violent crime.

Volunteers must be 18 or older and pass a background check.
