Winnebago man charged with sexually abusing teen girl

OMAHA | A federal grand jury has indicted a Winnebago, Nebraska, man on charges of having sexual contact with a teenage girl.

Derrick Thomas, 28, is charged in U.S. District Court in Omaha with single counts of sexual abuse of a minor and abusive sexual contact.

Thomas engaged in sexual contact with the girl, who is under age 16, beginning at an unknown time in 2016 and continuing until about June 1, according to court documents.
