BRIEF: Tulare teacher re-arrested for alleged sexual abuse of another student

July 02--The Tulare teacher who allegedly sexually abused a student in March was re-arrested Friday after police identified an additional female student as a victim, police said.

Detectives responded to Juan Javier Sanchez's home in Delano where he was taken into custody.

Police said the 44-year-old teacher was having a sexual relationship with the student in a classroom at Tulare Union High School.

Sanchez was arrested on suspicion of lewd and lascivious acts with a minor; forcible acts of sexual penetration; and sexual battery on school property.

He was booked into the Tulare County Pretrial Facility with a bail set at $740,000.
