BRIEF: Police ask for help in identifying possible sex abuse victims in Anchorage, Mat-Su

Sept. 02--Anchorage police are asking for help identifying possible victims of a man who admitted to sexually abusing young girls.
Police said James Moen, 31, is charged with three counts of sexual abuse of a minor.
According to a Friday press release from police spokesman MJ Thim, an investigation into a report of child sex abuse found Moen, who was then in his 20s, had abused a girl under the age of 10.
Thim said that the abuse occurred in several locations in Anchorage and the Matanuska-Susitna Borough.
Moen confessed to the crime, Thim said, and admitted that he sexually abused other girls.
Police believe there could be other victims in Anchorage or the Mat-Su. Thim said in a phone interview that Moen lived in Wasilla but worked in Anchorage. Thim could not immediately say where specifically Moen worked.
