Domestic battery arrests

Jay Hooks, 26, of Lecanto, at noon Sept. 15 on a felony charge of grand theft and misdemeanor charges of domestic battery and criminal mischief.Ricardo Barnhart, 35, of Beverly Hills, at 8:17 p.m.Sept. 17 on a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery.

Other arrests

Terri Klein, 47, of Long Avenue, Inverness, at 10:53 a.m.Sept. 15 on felony charges of battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting an officer with violence, along with a misdemeanor charge of giving a false report to law enforcement. According to her arrest affidavit, Klein is accused of falsely reporting her car had been stolen in July. During her arrest, she reportedly pushed a deputy and attempted to pull away from him. Her bond was set at $7,500.Raymond Chojnowski, 34, of East Ross Lane, Hernando, at 7 p.m.Sept. 15 on a misdemeanor charge of disorderly intoxication. According to his arrest affidavit, Chojnowski is accused of causing a disturbance in an alley behind an Inverness restaurant/pub. His bond was set at $500.Lucas Calcagni, 34, of East Amberjack Drive, Hernando, at 11:08 p.m.Sept. 15 on a felony charge of grand theft. He was also charged on a writ of bodily attachment. According to his arrest affidavit, Calcagni is accused of stealing a cell phone valued at approximately $400. The victim traced her iPhone to a residence in Beverly Hills using an app. His bond was set at $2,000.Christopher Leonard, 31, of Hernando, at 1:44 a.m.Sept. 16 on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor charges of possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $4,000.William Pringle II, 56, of South Suncoast Boulevard, Crystal River, at 12:37 p.m.Sept. 16 on a misdemeanor charge of battery. According to his arrest affidavit, Pringle is accused of getting into a verbal argument with his roommate and grabbing her by the arm. His bond was set at $500. Iven Jones Jr., 45, of Indialantic Drive, Orlando, at 6:47 a.m.Sept. 17 on a misdemeanor charge of loitering or prowling. According to his arrest affidavit, deputies found Jones in the woods near a crashed vehicle and near a potential crime scene where shots had been fired. His bond was set at $500.William Vanselow III, 56, of South Fichten Point, Homosassa, at 8:20 a.m.Sept. 17 on a felony charge of battery by a detainee on another detainee. According to his arrest affidavit, Vanselow is accused of striking an inmate four times in the head with a property bag while both were incarcerated at the Citrus County Detention Facility. His bond was set at $2,000.Nicholas Tamburro, 23, of Crystal River, at 10:01 a.m.Sept. 17 on a felony charge of criminal mischief and a misdemeanor charge of resisting an officer without violence. He was also charged with felony failure to appear stemming from an original charge of possession of a controlled substance. His bond was set at $2,000 for the new charges but withheld for the failure to appear.Frederick Graff, 43, of East Shawnee Trail, Inverness, at 2:27 a.m.Sept. 18 on a misdemeanor charge of resisting an officer without violence. According to his arrest affidavit, Graff was found sleeping in a running vehicle parked at one of the pumps at the Kangaroo Gas Station in Crystal River. He reportedly attempted to conceal something in his pocket while a deputy was conducting a well-being check on him. His bond was set at $1,000.
