We Leap Inc. to break silence of domestic violence at Oct. 20 Purple Tie event

Stuart News - 10/31/2017

FORT PIERCE – In honor and recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, We Leap Inc. will host its annual Purple Tie community awareness event Oct. 20 at Treasure Coast Jaguar in Fort Pierce.

"Stand By Me" is this year's theme, which will focus on reasons why victims stay, and how to support and assist victims of domestic violence. The objective of this event, in its third year, is to unite the community, increase community awareness, and raise funds toward outreach, prevention and intervention programs and services that support women, men and teens effected by domestic abuse.

Sanctuary4kids is a home in Port St. Lucie that provides safe temporary housing placement for children who have been abused and neglected.

The Purple Tie Event provides guests and participants opportunity to financially support and engage in an evening of awareness, entertainment, community networking, silent auctions, vendors tables, and a fabulous fashion show.

This year's event will feature keynote speaker Port St. Lucie City Council woman Jolien Caraballo, singer and songwriter Angela Saintphard and local fashion designers and retailers.
