BRIEF: Wichita man charged with continuous sexual abuse of a child in Texas

Wichita Eagle - 1/20/2018

Jan. 20--A 55-year-old Wichita man was arrested Friday on a warrant out of Texas for charges including continuous sexual abuse of a child, aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child by contact, according to reports.

Michael Lee Lopez was booked into the Sedgwick County Jail at 3:43 p.m. He is being held without bond, jail records say.

Lopez was wanted by Pflugerville police in Texas, and was arrested by Wichita's Exploited and Missing Child Unit at a home in the 3000 block of South Clifton.

The Pflugerville Police Department said the charges stem from incidents involving two children between 2014 and 2017 in Pflugerville and Temple, Texas, according to Spectrum News in Austin.

Lopez awaits extradition.
