Marin Independent Journal - 2/23/2018
Feb. 23--A San Rafael man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of sexually assaulting a girl 10 years ago when he lived with her family.
San Rafael police arrested Victorio Pedroza Alonzo, 73. He was being held at Marin County Jail in lieu of $250,000 bail.
The San Rafael Police Department opened an investigation in early January after a 16-year-old girl told her mother she had been sexually abused by Alonzo, who used to live with the family.
The victim was between 5 and 6 years old at the time of the assault.
Alonzo was booked on suspicion of sexual intercourse with a child 10 or under and sexual penetration with a foreign object, both felonies, and with displaying harmful matter to a child, a misdemeanor.
