BRIEF: Hays police investigating rape reports

March 28--The Hays Police Department is investigating two alleged rapes that were reported last week.

One incident allegedly occurred either March 21 or 22 in the 500 block of East Eighth, with another dated March 24 in the 700 block of West 12th.

In both reports, the victims are adults and acquainted with the alleged abusers, said Lt. Tim Greenwood with the Hays PD.

No arrests have yet been made, and the reports likely will be forwarded to the Ellis County Attorney's office for review.

Both reports were made to police March 24, according to a police activity log released Tuesday.
