BRIEF: Rockford man found guilty by jury for domestic battery

April 06--ROCKFORD -- A man was found guilty by a jury on Thursday in connection with a domestic battery case last summer, according to the Winnebago County State's Attorney's Office.

Terry L. Flint, 56, was found guilty on felony domestic battery charges.

In August, Rockford Police responded to the 500 block of Seminary Street where Flint's wife reported that he had battered her, according to a news release. Officers saw that her hair and clothing were wet and she was injured, the news release states.

Flint will be sentenced at 10:30 a.m.June 1 in Courtroom 478. Domestic battery is a Class 4 felony punishable by either one to three years in prison, or probation, followed by four years of mandatory supervised release.
