RCVA hosts 5K Walk/Run

The Rush County Victims Assistance 5K Walk/Run, on Saturday, June 9, is an opportunity for our community to stand together in the race to end domestic violence.

RCVA/Phoenix House offers safe crisis shelter to victims of domestic violence, provides services to victims, and educates Rush County about the prevention of domestic violence. Last year, 263 victims and their children received services through RCVA.

The June 9 RCVA 5K Walk/Run will begin at 9 a.m. at the Benjamin Rush Middle School, 1601 N. Sexton Street. The cost is $10 per walker. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. or you may pre-register by calling RCVA Board Director Mescal Shelton at 765-561-0878.

There will be a drawing for door-prizes from local merchants at 10 a.m. and post-race refreshments.
