Man charged with grand larceny

June 09--FAIRMONT -- Keven Lee Gill, 47, of 1665 Dents Run Rd., Mannington, has been charged with felony grand larceny for the alleged theft of a vehicle, according to a criminal complaint.
The complaint states that Gill allegedly stole a 2010 GMC Sierra on or about June 6. The incident allegedly took place at 812 Cleveland Ave., Fairmont.
Gill was allegedly found in close proximity of the vehicle and was also allegedly found in possession of the vehicle key.
The value of the vehicle is more than $1,000, police said.
Court records show Gill's bail was set at $50,000, which wasn't posted.
In a separate case, a 60-year-old Fairmont man has been charged with domestic battery or domestic assault -- third offense following a June 3 incident in Fairmont.
According to a criminal complaint, Dennis Wayne Ware of 803 Virginia Ave. faces the felony charge.
The complaint notes that a Fairmont City Police patrolman responded to his residence for the report of a domestic battery allegedly in progress.
Upon arrival, officers allegedly found a female, identified as the victim, sitting on a couch with debris across her lap and around her person while Ware was allegedly sitting on another couch with an empty table in front of him.
Ware allegedly told the patrolman that he had picked up the table to flip it and purposefully caused the items on the table to fall off in the victim's direction.
The victim stated that Ware allegedly struck her several times in the face and she attempted to stop him by grabbing his arms, according to the complaint.
The criminal complaint states that Ware has a previous conviction of domestic battery, with a guilty conviction date of Dec. 18, 2017, and another domestic battery, with a guilty conviction date of June 3, 2014.
Court records show Ware's bail was set at $10,000, which wasn't posted.
