• A 28-year-old Maryville woman reported at 12:18 a.m.June 21 that she was assaulted by her 49-year-old husband. The husband told officers his wife started an argument and punched him in the face. He said he got up and restrained her, but she continued to hit him until he went outside. Officers observed several red marks on the man's back and a cut on his elbow. The woman said her husband woke her up and started an argument, during which he punched her in the face and started choking her. She said she fought him off and he went outside. Officers observed a cut beside her eye. Officers were unable to determine who started the fight. Legal options were explained and the husband agreed to leave the residence for the night.
