BRIEF: Man charged with molesting 2 girls

July 15--GOLDSBORO -- A Wayne County man was arrested Friday on charges of sexually assaulting two girls.

Terry Douglas Brake, 59, of Wesley Drive northeast of Goldsboro, faces two counts of taking indecent liberties with a child. Capt. Shawn Harris of the Wayne County Sheriff's Office said the alleged assaults took place over a two-year span.

Deputies learned of the allegations in late May and investigated for several weeks with assistance from the State Bureau of Investigation and the local district attorney's office. Authorities said more charges in the case are possible.

"Based on the sensitivity of this case, this is all the information that will be released at this time," Harris said in a news release.

Brake was booked into the Wayne County Detention Center under a $440,000 secured bond.
