BRIEF: Lexington teen charged with inappropriately touching two girls

July 15--A Lexington teen is accused of inappropriately touching two girls while they were swimming in a pool.

Robert Joseph Riley, 19, was lodged in the Greenup County jail charged with two counts of first-degree sexual abuse, according to Kentucky State Police..

Riley admitted in a recorded statement to touching the 5-year-old and 7-year-old girls as they were swimming at a party on Ky. 207 south of the county seat of Greenup, according to a citation filed with the jail. The incident happened July 1.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled to be held Wednesday in Greenup District Court. At that time a judge will hear evidence to determine whether there is probable cause to send the case to a grand jury for possible indictment.

Riley remains in the Greenup County jail in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
