BRIEF: 77-year-old sex offender charged with molestation of a child

July 20--PANAMA CITY -- A 77-year-old registered sex offender has been arrested on charges he molested a child, according to official reports.
Walter Harrell Jr., of Panama City, has been charged with three counts of sexual battery on a child, and three counts of lewd and lascivious molestation on a child.
The charges stem from repeated incidents which allegedly happened in 2011, according to Panama City Police Department reports. When confronted, he allegedly said, "I did it." At the time, he was a registered sex offender.
He is being held at the Bay County Jail without bond.
