Round Rock couple with Bikers Against Child Abuse face new charges

July 24--A Round Rock couple faces new charges of child abuse against another one of their three adopted children, according to arrest affidavits. The couple, Daniel and Shirley Rodriguez, belong to Bikers Against Child Abuse, Williamson County Sheriff Robert Chody said.

Both of them have been charged with two counts of injury to a child.

Acording to an arrest affidavit, Shirley Rodriguez, 42, slapped one of the children, knocked the child down and force-fed the child while sending videos of the act to Daniel Rodriguez, 42.

Shirley Rodriguez also was charged with two new counts of indecency with a child. She is accused of inappropriately one of the children while showering with them.

She is also charged with aggravated assault in connection with throwing a knife at one of the children, an affidavit said.

After-school staff started noticing injuries on the children during the fall and Child Protective Services removed them from their home and sent them to foster care in October, according to court documents. The Rodriguezes have relinquished their parental rights, the documents said.

The Rodriguezes face charges against them involving all of their children. Shirley Rodriguez has now been charged with a total of nine counts of indecency with a child, two counts of injury to a child and aggravated assault. Daniel Rodriguez has been charged with a total of seven counts of indecency with a child and three counts of injury to a child.

They were both being held in the Williamson County Jail on Tuesday. Bail for Daniel Rodriguez was set at $1.45 million. Bail for Shirley Rodriguez was set at $1.82 million.
