BRIEF: Second victim accuses Millsap of sexual abuse

Abilene Reflector-Chroncle - 10/8/2018

Oct. 08--A second accuser has come forward against Eric Millsap, 44, who is facing 178 counts of criminal rape and sodomy in Dickinson County District Court.

Charges were filed last Thursday by Dickinson County Attorney Andrea Purvis and are pending due to the timing of the weekend and Columbus Day holiday on Monday.

According to Abilene Assistant Police Chief Jason Wilkins, the second individual alleged the sexual abuse occurred between 2005 and 2007 while Millsap lived in Abilene.

An investigation was conducted by the Abilene Police Department and the case has been referred to the Dickinson County attorney's office.

According to the affidavit which is a written statement for use as evidence in court, the first alleged victim told an Abilene police detective the first time she was sexually abused was during the summer when she was eight.

The affidavit describes in detail the continued sexual abuse on a daily basis.

Millsap resided in Abilene from March 2012 until January 2016 when the family moved to North Carolina.

Abilene police officers traveled to McKeesport, Pa. in late May to serve the warrant against Millsap.
