Donations support Northland Family Help Center

Arizona Daily Sun - 11/10/2019

Nov. 9--Two years after it was created to address human trafficking, donations continue to help sustain the Flagstaff Initiative Against Trafficking (FIAT), housed by Northland Family Help Center (NFHC).

Wednesday, the Flagstaff Exchange Club donated $1,000 to the help center and $500 to FIAT to support their ongoing programs.

"The Exchange Club has been a long supporter of NFHC and we value and appreciate their donation and efforts to help the most vulnerable in our community," said Kate Wyatt, FIAT's Human Trafficking Program Coordinator.

NFHC provides trauma counseling, safe shelter and legal advocacy to survivors of human trafficking. FIAT is working with community members to raise awareness, educate and provide services to those who have experienced trafficking. It will be hosting a video screening of "California's Forgotten Children," a feature documentary about child sex trafficking, Nov. 9 at 3 p.m. at NAU's Cline Library.

Northland Family Help Center is eligible for the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit. For more information or to donate, visit www.northlandfamily.org.
