OPIOID CRISIS Moser family to show opioid documentary at Exeter High School Son Adam Moser died of an overdose in 2015

Portsmouth Herald - 2/10/2017

EXETER — On Friday, Exeter High School students will witness the story of a fellow Blue Hawk who came before them, one whose life was ended tragically by an apparent fentanyl overdose.

Adam Moser was 27 when he died in Portsmouth in September 2015. One year later, his parents, Jim and Jeanne Moser, set out to create a mini-documentary in partnership with Narrow Street Films to use their son’s death as a vehicle to teach others about the differences between opioids and other drugs. The Mosers will show their film to Exeter High School students to cap off a two-week wellness program.

In the days and months since Adam’s death, Jim and Jeanne, of East Kingston, have committed themselves to opioid awareness advocacy, including launching a campaign called Zero Left, intended to elevate the prescription drug conversation. They learned after Adam’s death he’d had a prescription drug “hobby.”

The documentary, called “Just The One Time,” will be shown to all grades on Friday morning with the Mosers introducing themselves and their story beforehand.
