Collier man missing, family seeks public's help to find him

Naples Daily News - 3/8/2017

March 08--A Collier County man has gone missing, and his family is asking the public to help find him.

Jacob "Jake" Ruddy, 25, was last heard from Nov. 6, when he told his parents he was going to the 24 Club off Pine Ridge Road in Naples, Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers reported in a news release Wednesday morning.

Ruddy was supposed to meet a friend afterward but never showed up. Prior to Ruddy going missing, he was known to be very active on social media sites, and would often communicate with family and friends, the news release stated.

Ruddy is currently considered a missing endangered adult with the Collier County Sheriff's Office. He stands 6 feet, 2 inches, weighs 150 pounds and has tattoos on both forearms of clovers.

"The family is hoping that someone may have seen Jake in the days or weeks following Nov. 6," said Trish Routte, Crime Stoppers Coordinator. "Anyone who has seen him around town at any point in time is strongly encouraged to call and help investigators retrace his steps and bring him home safely to his family."

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Ruddy is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000. Tips may also be made online at southwestfloridacrimestoppers.com or by submitting a tip through the P3Tips mobile app.
