BRIEF: Teen accused of soliciting parents’ murder

March 17--LINWOOD -- A 14-year-old female was arrested Thursday after deputies said she solicited to have her parents murdered, according to a press release from the Davidson County Sheriff's Office.

Officers said their investigation revealed the teen had made numerous threats via digital communications to have her father and stepmother killed.

The girl, whose name was not released due to her age, lives in the Linwood Community of Davidson County. She was arrested by investigators on Thursday, charged with one count of solicitation to commit a felony (murder), and turned over to the N.C. Department of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention to be held in detention.

Due to this case involving a juvenile offender, no other information will be released at this time, the press release stated.
