Employee perks at Elevation: Daily boot camp, $50 gift cards and on-site child care

June 29--Elevation Church isn't always forthcoming about sharing information about its internal workings with the press and public. But to make it onto the 100 Best Workplaces for Millennials List, the Southern Baptist church had to provide information to Fortune and Great Place to Work, the co-sponsors of the 2017 list.

The portrait the information paints is that of a place with a generous array of employee perks, but one where those in authority are predominantly white and mostly male.

Number of employees: 206 in the United States and 5 around the world.

Revenues: $47.1 million (all of it generated in the United States).

Philanthropic donations in last year: $5,657,422.

Average salary and cash compensation for project manager: $40,000.

Executives by gender: 80 percent are male, 20 percent are female. Among "frontline managers or supervisors," 78 percent are male, 22 percent are female.

Managers or supervisors by race: 98 percent non-minorities, 2 percent minorities.

Workplace diversity by gender: 56 percent male, 44 percent female.

Workplace diversity by race/ethnicity: 85 percent non-minority, 15 percent minority.

Employees by generation: 80 percent millennials, 17 percent Generation X, 3 percent Baby Boomers.

Paid time off: 20 days after one year of full-time employment. Number of paid sick days after one year is 12.

Paid time off to volunteer: 306 hours.

A sample of employee perks:

-- "The Jungle," complimentary state-of-the-art gym, with daily boot camp and periodic classes (yoga, kickboxing, athletic conditioning) by certified instructors.

-- On-site child care, and maternity and paternity leaves.

-- A quarterly $50 gift card for every staff member (for movies, restaurants, department stores) "to promote regular date nights for married couples" and to allow unmarried staffers to "treat themselves to something extra."
