Decowski family contributes backpacks to Gertrude Walden Child Care Center

Stuart News - 8/28/2017

For the fourth year, Kelley Decowski and her children Sarah and Tyler have donated 120 new, colorful backpacks to Gertrude Walden Child Care Center students to use on their paths to success.

Kelley, a sales associate of ReMax of Stuart who states she couldn't make the generous contribution if it wasn't for her own customers, says, "You can't be successful in school without the right equipment."

Sarah attends Bessey Creek Elementary School, and Tyler will be starting at Hidden Oaks middle school. A smiling Sarah says, "I look forward to this all year because it makes me feel so good."

The mission of the school is: "Believing all children are creative and energetic, Gertrude Walden Child Care Center, together with the Executive Board, staff, parents and community will be an exemplary model of early childhood that will empower all young children to become effective, enthusiastic and socially competent learners."
