Dance Academy named 'Family Favorite'

SEABROOK - The NH Academy of Performing Arts was named Favorite Dance Studio (Seacoast) for the second consecutive year by Parenting New Hampshire magazine.

The magazine's Family Favorites, now in its seventh year, is an award program that recognizes family-friendly businesses, services and places from across the Granite State in more than 50 categories - as chosen by the readers of Parenting New Hampshire. Categories included local children's bookstore, bike shop, dentist, pediatrician, family restaurant, ice cream place, martial arts studio and more.

"The Family Favorites award program recognizes those places, people and things that make New Hampshire a great place to raise a family," said Melanie Hitchcock, editor of Parenting New Hampshire. "Whether it is a child care center, the library or the playground, parents give each other advice on what and who is the best. The Family Favorites contest gives them the opportunity to share that information with all of our readers."

The Family Favorite Awards voting took place online from July 1 through Aug. 15, 2017. The magazine received nearly 1,000 votes over the time period. The results of the reader's poll will appear in the November 2017 issue of Parenting New Hampshire. A complete list of winners will also be posted at www.parentingnh.com.

Currently, in its 61st year of dance education, NH Academy of Performing Arts (NHAPA) is proud to have trained thousands of dancers on the Seacoast. Home of the non-profit Seacoast Civic Dance Company, they are well known for their many performances at benefits, festivals and community events throughout New England.
