Scout seeks supplies to help Family & Children's Service of Niagara

Lewiston-Porter Sentinel - 4/4/2018

Andrew Brown of Troop 855 announces his Eagle Scout project and seeks the community's help. The beneficiary of his project will be Family & Children's Service of Niagara, a local nonprofit organization that provides a wide range of human services for the community.

Part one of his project will involve a collection of much-needed items for this agency's shelter programs, which include: The CRIB, Passage House and Casey House. Specifically, Andrew is seeking donations of diapers, wipes, personal and feminine hygiene products, towels, sheets, washcloths, cleaning supplies, new or gently used women's and children's shoes, vacuum cleaners and any other small household items someone could use in a first home.

Part two of his project will involve creating a safe play area for the infants and children of the residents at the CRIB. Andrew will be painting and installing shelves and baby gates at this location.

Donations can be dropped off at either:

First Presbyterian Church of Lewiston, 505 Cayuga St., any Monday evening during Scout meetings (6:30-8 p.m.) during the month of April. Enter through the social hall doors next to the parking lot in the back of the church.
