Family Services to affiliate with Seven Hills Foundation in Worcester

Telegram & Gazette - 11/24/2019

WORCESTER - As of the first of the year, Family Services of Central Massachusetts, headquartered in Worcester, will become an affiliate of the Seven Hills Foundation, according to officials of both organizations.

Family Services of Central Massachusetts, which provides services and support for hundreds of children, families and individuals throughout Central Massachusetts, will become Seven Hills Foundation's thirteenth affiliate. Officials say the affiliation will enable both programs to build stronger programs for children, adults and seniors that utilize the strengths and resources of Seven Hills and Family Services and will enable both agencies to share and benefit from each other's depth of experience and community support expertise.

For 130 years, Family Services of Central Massachusetts has provided support, guidance and counseling through a diversity of programs and services that include individual, child and family counseling, employee assistance, home care, community mediation, senior volunteer and companion opportunities and professional development for the early child care industry.

Together, the two agencies will expand programming "so that more individuals and families are strengthened and valued," said Dr. David A. Jordan, president of Seven Hills Foundation.

With its corporate office in Worcester, the Seven Hills Foundation offers program sites at 160 locations throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island employing nearly 4,000 professionals. The foundation offers support and services to 45,000 children, adults and seniors with disabilities and other life challenges through its affiliate organizations.

"After an extensive and thorough process, it was clear that Seven Hills Foundation offered the best path forward for FSCM to continue to fulfill its mission. This affiliation will ensure that Family Services of Central Massachusetts will have the financial stability and programmatic capacity to continue providing our current services to people in Central Massachusetts for years to come," said Jim Regan, who will continue leading the organization as vice president of the new affiliate of Seven Hills Foundation
