Chatham Child Care Scholarships Available

CHATHAM - Applications are now being accepted for scholarships through the Chatham Community Child Care Scholarship Program.

Scholarships of up to $750 per child are available to residents and persons employed in Chatham for children from infants to age 13. Scholarships are for legally operating child care program licensed by the state. Awards depend on the amount of available funds at the time of application.

In recognition of the high cost of child care for working families, the town established the program which is run by the Child Care Network, a program of the Community Action Committee of Cape Cod and Islands, Inc., a non-profit, anti-poverty, human service and social action agency. The scholarship provides short-term child care funding for eligible families.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and are reviewed by the CACCI/Child Care Network. Applications can be downloaded on the town's website, www. chatham-ma.gov. For more information, call 508-7789470, extension 223, o 1-888-530-2430.
