Woods County Cooperative Extension to offer Child Care/Babysitting Clinic

The Woods County OSU Cooperative Extension Service will be holding a Baby-Sitting/Child Care Clinic for all interested area youth ages 10-13 years of age, according to Susan Holliday, Extension Educator for Family and Consumer Science/4-H Youth Development.

The clinic will be held on Tuesday, June 6, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Alva Public Library.

Speakers will discuss the safety measures that must be followed to provide safe and adequate child care. Topics will include: first aid, stranger danger, nutritious snacks and tips/expectations from a local mother who utilizes babysitters for short term child care.

The deadline for pre-registration and payment of the registration fee is Thursday, June 1, in the Woods County OSU Extension Office. The office is on the ground floor of the Woods County Courthouse. You may call the office at 580-327-2786.
