Human trafficking the topic of Heartland Family Service workshop
The Daily Nonpareil - 6/11/2017
Training will be offered on a human trafficking awareness curriculum for people interested in training others.
"Any Kid Anywhere" will run from 9 a.m. to noon on June 21 at Heartland Family Service, 515 East Broadway.
The training is intended for middle- and high-school students, staff and parents, according to a flyer from PMP-Prevention Means Progress, which is sponsoring the class.
The curriculum was developed in collaboration with schools, law enforcement, lawyers, mental health professionals and SafePath Survivor Resources by Braking Traffik, a Quad Cities organization working to address human trafficking.
"Any Kid Anywhere" provides education on prevention, intervention and ending demand for human trafficking.
